Tom Mulqueeney (1908-?)

Tom Mulqueeney was born in 1908 in Tullagha, near Kilfenora, Co. Clare. He was one of three musically talented brothers in the Mulqueeney family, alongside Mícheál (flute and whistle) and Jim (fiddle), all of whom contributed to the strong traditional music tradition of the Kilfenora area.

Tom played the flute, and while less is known about his public musical activity, he was part of the vibrant local music scene that shaped the style and spirit of North Clare music during the early and mid-20th century.
