Tape 2 kilfenora christmas 1955

This is the second cassette tape found while clearing out my grandparents’ house in Lickeen East in 2021. Like the first, we’re not sure who recorded it. It may also have originated from Judith O’Donoghue’s reel-to-reel tapes in London, possibly copied by Pat Lynch and sent back to Kilfenora. 

This recording is particularly interesting as it features a number of solos and duets, giving a more intimate glimpse into the playing styles of the time. This tape includes performances by Ciaran Collins, Theresa Kelly, Frank Mahony, Jim Mulqueeney, and the Lynch family.
