Paddy ‘Terry’ McMahon (1909-1984)

Paddy ‘Terry’ McMahon was a flute player from Drumnacreehy. Born in 1909, he was part of a respected local musical family.

His brother Gerry ‘Terry’ McMahon played the fiddle and tin whistle, and his sisters Mary Kate ‘Terry’ McMahon and Bridget ‘Terry’ McNamara (née McMahon) who both played the fiddle. The three siblings contributed to the preservation of traditional music in the area, particularly around Ballyvaughan.

Paddy passed away in 1984.
