Michael Queally (1857-1932)

Michael Queally was born in 1857 and lived in Kylemore in North Clare. In 1882, at the age of 25, he married Bridget Callinan, who was 21 at the time. The couple were part of a rural community where family, farming, and tradition ran deep.

Michael Queally passed away on 5 June 1932, and is buried in Kilshanny Cemetery.  He is the grandfather of flute players Michael and Seamus Hynes well-known traditional musicians.
