JOHNNY Mulqueeney (1925-1996)

Johnny Mulqueeney was a flute player from Kilfenora village, Co. Clare. Though he shared a surname, he was not related to the other Mulqueeney musical families in the area. He was known for his involvement in both music and community life.

Tom worked as a postman, a familiar and well-liked presence in the village. Outside of his work, he was active in local life and was one of the founding members of the Kilfenora Gun Club, reflecting his strong ties to the community and the countryside.

As a musician, Johnny played the flute.
