Gerry ‘Terry’ Mcmahon (1916-1993)

Gerry McMahon, known as ‘Terry’, was a traditional musician from Drumnacreehy. Born in 1916, he played the fiddle and tin whistle, and was known locally for his steady and traditional style.

He came from a musical family. His brother Paddy ‘Terry’ McMahon played the flute, and his sisters Mary McMahon and Bridget ‘Terry’ McNamara (née McMahon) who both played the fiddle. Together, they maintained a strong musical presence in the local area.

Gerry passed away in 1993.
